El Centro de la Raza’s Smoking Cessation campaign aims at working to prevent tobacco and marijuana use in Latinx youth and young adults.
We approached the visuals for the campaign with a “Raza centric” focus. Typographical inspiration came from the posters of the 1960’s Chicano movement in which bold, san serif, compressed letterforms were used. We then deliberately used red and green in our color palette as an homage to the Mexican flag.
