Info

pley.ground was founded in Seattle on the year 2017 by Gabriel Lopez. “Pley” comes from the wanting to have fun with the work and pushing the perceptions of what design should look like. “Ground” is a constant reminder though, that everything we do as designers is for someone else. As hard as we want to be conceptual, we must keep ourselves grounded.

The name pley.ground is intentionally "misspelled" for a number of thoughtful reasons. The flower was chosen as a symbolic nod to the garden that once bloomed in Gabriel’s parents’ backyard—a gentle reminder of our humble beginnings.

In our 8 years of existence, our work has been added to permanent collections in museums, featured on national and international blogs. Our illustration work has been published in national and local magazines.

With love,
from the people of pley•ground.
